Combustible felted long cartridge cases
EURENCO develops and manufactures combustible felted long cartridge
cases for artillery ammunition 155 mm/52 cal. and also 45 cal. and
39 cal.
Thanks to their adjustable length, combustible felted long cartridge
cases are suited to most of the 155 mm self-propelled and towed howitzers,
and offer a large range of applications in accordance with required
peformances:
Use in 155 mm top charge to reach the maximum range of 155 mm/52 cal. howitzers,
Utilization in replacement of old bag charges with the same
advantages than combustible cartridge cases. Dimensions are suited
to other charge elements in order to keep the same range.
In addition to a rigid and fully combustible design, combustible
felted long cartridge cases bring the following advantages:
Utilization of either propellant grains or sticks,
Suitable length fitted to each charge,
Supply of related combustible items: stand-off disks, chocks,
centering disks, tubes, ...
Compatibility either with flat or axial igniters.
