EURENCO produces two
types of Low vulnerability (LOVA)
propellants for Insensitive Munitions:
RDX-based propellants: these LOVA propellants
of M39- and M43-types are produced in one, seven and nineteen perforation
configurations from RDX, nitrocellulose, CAB and inert or energetic
plasticizers. Characterized by low vulnerability and increased propulsion
ability, they are qualified and in production for 40mm and 57mm
Insensitive Munitions. RDX-based propellants are
used for automotive safety too. EURENCO also manufactures suitable
ignition powders.

"FOX"-based propellants: these LOVA
propellants are manufactured from low sensitive explosives
such as DADNE (FOX-7) and GUDN (FOX-12), nitrocellulose and low
sensitive energetic plasticizers. Designed for high velocity guns
and artillery guns tailored in different calibers, they are characterized
by high performance, low vulnerability, low barrel wear and low
cost. |
