Uses

EURENCO supplies add-on protection kits for light and heavy armored vehicles. They are the result of R&D studies conducted with French and foreign partners:

Add-on protection kits for Main Battle Tanks (MBTs)

They offer protection against large caliber shaped charge threats (antitank missile warheads, antitank shells).

  •  AMX30: GIAT Industries/EURENCO products have been selected by the French Army for the reactive armor protection of the French AMX-30B2 tanks equipping the FAR (Force d'Action Rapide).
  •  M60: Reactive armors can enhance protection levels against modern shaped charge (HEAT) weapons, such as: RPG-7, 105 mm HEAT tank ammunition and BASIC-TOW missiles. They are able to defeat shaped charge weapons up to 1000 mm nominal penetration.
  •  T-72: protection against large caliber shaped charge weapons.

Add-on protection kits for Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs) or Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs)

They offer protection against small and medium caliber Armor Piercing ammunition and against medium caliber shaped charge weapons (RPG-7, LAW…).

  •  M113: The overall performance of add-on protection systems enable efficient protection against kinetic energy projectiles as well as shaped charge threats: protection against 12.7 mm, 14.5 mm, 20 mm, 23 mm and 30 mm APT munitions, RPG-7 rockets.
  •  Bradley: The US Army has performed an evaluation of the new system.
  •  BMP-3: protection against 12.7 mm, 14.5 mm, 20 mm and 23 mm APT munitions, RPG-7 rockets.
